Most Deserving Candidates!!!

This year APPNA spring meeting was a great event. The pic attached below is taken from presentation on new BOT structure, presented in counsel meeting where two Board of Trustees will be chosen from each region including; North East and Canada, South East, Midwest and West/South West

In 2005 I started my Residency training in New York (North East Region of BOT). APPNA New York members had some disagreements back then but never been a big clash. Then came elections and six years old lawsuit recently ended causing six figures loss to each party.

In 2009, I moved to Arlington, VA which in above map reflects South East. They were peaceful and loving people and then elections came. There is big tiff since then and Maryland is about to leave dMv coalition!!!

In 2010, I moved to Ohio. In our Ohio chapter, there are no fights since we all get in line to get the office, instead of elections. However Illinois is also in same “BOT region”, We got a chance to spend ten days with PPS chapter during Scandinavian trip. What an amazing trip it was with so many beautiful people together! And guess what? Elections “attacked them” and there are at least three groups in Chicago now.

Not to mention anything about south/southwest region since whole APPNA has seen that in spring council meeting “Ghar Ki Baat Panchait Main” and again it’s due to elections!

Despite working hard and with all great intentions, seems like CABL Committee’recommendations may aggravate elections induced APPNA “STAR”-“WARS”

As a lifetime member, I voted for amendments, to engage more board members, to engage women, and to reveal trust on Iqbal Zafar Hamid leadership but I am TOTALLY AGAINST another set of elections, another series of calls and texts to members, ruining our weekends, and another round of “CHUGLI GEEBAT”on phones while our kids are listening.

So the QUESTION would be how to select board members??? And the answer is the question how most organizations do??? They get most philanthropic people in organization on board of trustees!!!That’s old saying, “YOU SPEND YOUR MONEY ON WHAT YOU LOVE AND CARE MOST”. In exceptional cases if someone isn’t affluent but has spent a lot of time on APPNA, should be selected as well since “TIME IS MONEY” as well. We have amazing people in this category who don’t get noticed much since they are busy in work than talk

Dr. Aisha Zafar
For years, Using her own and family resources in APPNA projects and didn’t quit work for APPNA in any circumstances.

Dr. Ahmed Saeed Khan
We all know it how much his contributions are!!!

Dr. Masood Akbar
Amazing list of services from scholarships to charity!

Dr. Iftikhar Khan
Donated close to $100K through APPNA/NANA

Dr. Ghulam Qadir
A force behind one million dollars scholarship and he put $50k plus out of his own pocket

Dr. Shahid Sheikh
Sending over 50k worth of supplies and sponsoring schools in Pakistan for 15 years

Dr. Naeem Khan
Helping Shahid Sheikh in running schools in Sawat and major force behind fundraising

Dr Ameen Karim who gave 250,000 for hospice in Karachi

Dr Shahid Yusuf
A big name is charity and selfless services
And many many more!!!!!
And once these selfless people come on board, let them pick future members since they will bring people like themselves.

In addition, I would request to make Aisha Zafar BOT member on seat opened after Dr. Omar Atiq resignation. Not that she is female, rather she worked more than males. To me, it’s disrespectful to give a position to a female just because she is female. She has to standout, she has to perform and she has to achieve on open merit and we know who fulfills these criteria!!!

And again humble request, please
NO MORE ELECTIONS AVENUES IN APPNA!!!!!

Best regards

Life Time Member of APPNA
